Membro del Joint Management Committee presso l’università LUMSA per la progettazione e la validazione del Questionario Scuola, del Questionario Insegnante e del Questionario Europeo per gli studenti nell’ambito dell’indagine internazionale sull’educazione civica e alla cittadinanza IEA-ICCS (2022). L’indagine ICCS 2022 (International Civic and Citizenship Study) è uno studio comparativo su larga scala promosso dalla IEA (International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement) e finalizzato a rilevare i livelli di apprendimento, gli atteggiamenti e le opinioni degli studenti all’ottavo anno di scolarità nell’ambito dell’educazione civica e alla cittadinanza in diversi Paesi del mondo. (Gennaio 2018 – Febbraio 2024). Membro della Learning Metrics Task Force 2.0 – Global Citizenship Working Group organizzata dal Center for Universal Education (CUE) della Brookings Institution per conto dell’Unesco. Il gruppo di lavoro, composto da circa 80 membri selezionati tra insegnanti, ricercatori, operatori di Ong e altri stakeholders di tutto il mondo, aveva l’obiettivo di sviluppare una serie di linee guida sull’educazione alla cittadinanza globale (definizione di cittadinanza globale, individuazione delle conoscenze, abilità e competenze necessarie e delle modalità di valutazione) (Marzo 2014 – Dicembre 2017). Contributo alla realizzazione del toolkit Measuring Global Citizenship Education. Research projects
Member of the Joint Management Committee of the International Civic and Citizenship Study (ICCS) 2022 promoted by IEA (International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement). ICCS is a large-scale survey aimed at measuring grade 8 students’ learning outcomes, attitudes and beliefs in civic and citizenship education in several countries across the world. The consortium is made up of ACER (Australian Council for Educational Research), IEA-DPC (Data Processing Center) in Hamburg and LUMSA. LUMSA is in charge of the development of the school, teacher and European student questionnaires. (January 2018 – December 2023).
Previously member of the Joint Management Committee of the International Civic and Citizenship Study (ICCS) 2016 at Laboratorio di Pedagogia Sperimentale (LPS), Roma Tre University (Research associate: Bruno Losito). The consortium also included ACER and IEA-DPC. LPS was in charge of the development of the school, teacher and European student questionnaires. (January 2013- December 2017).

Member of the research group “Contextual variables and students’ achievement: international comparison, regional gaps and school tracks”. The project, funded by the Department of Education (Roma Tre University), aimed at analysing, through the Italian data of international comparative surveys, the influence of some school contexts’ variables (e.g. school climate, student-teacher relationship, etc.) on students’ performance. Member of the Learning Metrics Task Force 2.0 – Global Citizenship Working Group convened by the Center for Universal Education (CUE) at the Brookings Institution and the Youth Advocacy Group (YAG) on behalf of Unesco. The working group, composed of 80 members selected from teachers, researchers, NGOs and other stakeholders from around the world, had the aim of developing a series of guidelines on education for global citizenship (definition of global citizenship, identification of the necessary knowledge, skills and competences and assessment methods). Participated in the creation of the toolkit “Measuring Global Citizenship Education. A Collection of Practices and Tools” (available at https://www.brookings.edu/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/global _20170411_measuring-global-citizenship.pdf) (March 2014 -December 2017).
Member of the research group of the project “The development of school and teacher questionnaires in ICCS 2016. Design and operationalization of the educational leadership construct”. The project, funded by the Department of Education (Roma Tre University), aimed at defining and operationalizing the educational leadership construct within the field of study of School Effectiveness research. Member of the research group of the project “Writing in Higher Education: vocabulary to conceptualize experiences”. The project, funded by the Department of Education (Roma Tre University), aimed at analysing writing skills of university students in describing different kinds of experiences. During the project, several assessment tools were developed (cloze tests, reading comprehension tests, etc.) in order to gauge students’ lexical encyclopaedia. (March 2012 – March 2013).
