From September 1st, the EU Digital COVID Certificate is mandatory to access the University

As determined by the Legislative Decree no. 111 of 6 August 2021 regarding urgent measures for the safe exercise of school, university, social and transport activities, «from 1 September 2021 [...] in order to protect health public and maintain adequate security conditions in the provision in the presence of the essential education service, all school staff of the national education and university system as well as university students must possess and are required to exhibit the green COVID-19 certification».

To access the University, students, faculty, and staff must:

  1. Possess and be ready to show their own EU Digital COVID Certificate, the so-called Green Pass
  2. Wear suitable respiratory protection devices (face masks), except for people with pathologies or disabilities incompatible with the use of such devices
  3. Respect the interpersonal safety distance of at least one meter

It is also forbidden to access the University for people with respiratory symptoms or body temperature above 37.5°C (99,5°F).

The mandatory nature of point no. 1 does not apply to subjects exempt from the vaccination campaign, based on suitable medical certification, issued according to the criteria defined by the Italian Ministry of Health. Points no. 2 and 3 are still mandatory.

Please note that the Green Pass (EU Digital COVID Certificate) is valid in Italy even if issued by a foreign country, as long as it is a member of the European Union or a participant in the program such as Iceland, Liechtenstein, North Macedonia, Norway, San Marino, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine and Vatican City. Regarding non-EU students, it is recommended to obtain any of the required certifications and consider the preventive measures on time buffer and quarantine as required by Italian and international regulations.

The University reminds that lessons of the new academic year, starting in October 2021, face-to-face teaching is confirmed as a priority in the first semester, guaranteeing, at the same time, the mixed modality for those who are unable to join activities on site.

Information specifically aimed at university staff and faculty is available within the intranet area.
