QATEK project - Towards a quality oriented system of initial teacher education to increase teacher professionalism in Kosovo

The project aims to improve the curriculum relating to initial teacher training in various Kosovo universities through the design and implementation of quality assurance processes. This objective includes two key sub-actions:

  • the development of processes and quality standards in university courses for teacher training (e.g. review of programs, monitoring of courses, analysis of the quality of teaching and learning resources, services for students, research carried out by staff academic, general management, including personnel policies, etc.), including through workshops for teaching and administrative staff;
  • the development and awareness of teachers' professionalism, in order to improve the characteristics of the education system in Kosovo in the long term.

The project, funded by the Erasmus + program of the European Union, is coordinated by the University of Prishtina "Hasan Prishtina" Kosovo (lead partner) and involves six partners:

  • University “Fehmi Agani” (Gjakova, Kosovo)
  • University “Kadri Zeka” (Gjilan, Kosovo)
  • University ‘Isa Boletini’ (Mitrovica, Kosovo)
  • Tallinn University (Estonia)
  • Ljubljana University (Slovenia)
