International Civic and Citizenship Education Study

LUMSA University, in collaboration with ACER (Australian Council for Educational Research) and IEA (International Association for Educational Achievement), organizes the 2nd National Research Coordinators’ meeting of the countries participating in the IEA – ICCS (International Civic and Citizenship Education Study) study.

ICCS is a large-scale comparative study promoted by the IEA (International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement) and aimed at measuring the knowledge, attitudes and opinions in civic and citizenship education of students at the eighth grade in different countries of the world. Twenty-four countries on three continents (Europe, South America and Asia) took part in the last cycle of the survey in 2016.

LUMSA research group, in collaboration with national and international experts, is in charge of the drafting of three research instruments for the ICCS 2022 survey: the school questionnaire, the teacher questionnaire and the European student questionnaire.
