Student Advice and Information Office
LUMSA students are fortunate to be able to call upon the valuable support of the Student Advice and Information office throughout their university career. Its services include:
- The Office can tell students everything they need to know about LUMSA and directs them to the right place for any administrative issues they may have. In addition, the Office provides information and advice about what degree courses and subjects to choose, how to complete study plans, what the prerequisites are for various courses. In this way, it encourages students to develop the ability to organise their studies for themselves.
- If students have problems with their study methods or encounter difficulties in a particular subject or subjects, the Office can provide appropriate tutoring or arrange discussions with lecturers during their office hours. If, instead, students have personal problems that interfere with their studies, the Office can arrange appropriate counselling.
- Students who would like to study abroad, are well supported through the international exchange programme LLP ERASMUS and the administrative structure established for this purpose. Because of the importance it has always given to International Relations, LUMSA is among the leading Italian Universities in creating opportunities for its students to study abroad.
- Students studying for vocational degrees, involving periods of secondment or internship in the private or public sector, are advised and supported by the Secondment and Internship Office. Other students in non vocational courses can also receive advice and assistance if they are interested in exploring this valuable opportunity.
