The "Luigia Tincani Association for the promotion of culture" is a civil association with seat in Rome. This association is strictly a non-profit-making body.
The Aims of the Luigia Tincani Association for the Promotion of Culture
The Association, as is made clear in the second clause of its statute, has the following aims:

the spread of Christian culture through the publication of suitable works and through the use of all appropriate means;

the creation of study centres to promote lectures and courses of lessons, both general and specialistic in character;

the setting up of libraries and audio-visual centres;
the holding of teaching courses in the field of higher studies in order to train and prepare young people for the humanities;
-
and (in particular) helping to ensure the growth and development of the Libera Università Maria SS. Assunta (LUMSA), and the achievement of that university’s aims and goals.
An appeal to All Those who Identify with these Guiding Principles
All those who agree with these guiding principles, whether they are individuals or organized bodies, are invited to join the Association as members along the lines laid down by its statute. All members should feel that they are called upon to secure the achievement of the aims of the association - in particular that of supporting and contributing to activity and goals of the Libera Università Maria SS. Assunta (LUMSA), an institution established by royal decree on October 26 1939 but given its juridical status as a university on May 30 1991.
In the USA a corporation has been formed as an emanation of Luigia Tincani Association. Its name is ADLUMSA, which means: Association for the Development of LUMSA.
The purposes of the corporation is to operate exclusively for the benefit of Libera Università Maria SS. Assunta, a university chartered by the government exclusively for educational, charitable and religious purposes, and for the benefit of other institutions related to LUMSA which are organized and operated for said purposes, and otherwise to promote the interests of LUMSA and other related institutions, in each case so long as they remain organized and operated exclusively for educational, charitable or religious purposes.
In furtherance of these purposes, the corporation shall engage in fundraising activities in the Unites States and elsewhere and may engage in any lawful act or activity for which a corporation may be organized under chapter 180 of the Massachusetts General Laws and Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
