The Diploma Supplement (DS) follows the model developed by the European Commission, Council of Europe and UNESCO/CEPES
The Diploma Supplement (DS) is an International document attached to an Higher Education diploma. The DS gives a detailed description of the holder’s qualification (s), and always includes a description of the National Education System.
One of the main aims of the DS is to increase transparency in Higher Education and thus ensure a fair and objective judgement of academic and professional qualifications. It is important to note that DS is a supplement to diploma, not a replacement of that.
The DS shall be free of any value judgement or suggestions.
At the Libera Università Maria Ss. Assunta (Lumsa) the DS is issued from academic year 2008-09 in Italian and English languages automatically to all students upon graduation.
The Diploma Supplement is free of charge.
